After 7 weeks of permanent snow, more than can ever be remembered in the village, on 16 January 2011 we had the River Devon flooding as the snow melted and our bridge across the river was swept away into a bundle of broken sticks. Blair's car was in its own snow cocoon for weeks and weeks. This morning we woke up to ............more snow! It should be noted however that this is nothing in comparison to the floods and Cyclone Yasi currently being experienced in Queensland. Weather certainly has a major impact on our everyday lives!
